Effective immediately, Charron Medical Services has begun providing Customized Diabetic Shoes and shoe fitting services to their patients and retail customers. Charron Medical now offers a full range of Therapeutic Footwear Products from Orthofeet.. Orthofeet™ shoes are ideal for those with diabetes, arthritis, swollen feet/edema, conditions of the forefoot such as bunions or hammertoes, or for those at risk of developing foot complications.
The Orthofeet line includes several fashionable styles for both men and women that are perfect for casual or dress wear. Each shoe is specifically lasted to fit the diabetic foot with the required extra depth and width in the toe box and forefoot. Orthofeet shoes are specially designed to comfort and protect the feet using the highest quality materials in combination with seamless interiors, removable premium insoles with extra padding and non-skid soles. Additional features such as padded heel cradles, wide padded tongues, full leather linings and easy one-hand closures are available on select styles for increased comfort.
All Orthofeet shoes have been approved by SADMERC for HCPCS code A5500 and are covered for those that qualify under Medicare’s Therapeutic Shoe Bill.
